Arr!

Well, today (or, rather, when I first wrote this marks the start of chapter 1 of Dangerous and Fluffy: The Sheep of Doom, so it's probably about time I gave a bit of a background on the series.

D.a.F:T.S.o.D. actually began two years ago, springing out of Jeroen and I working on a guest comic for Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan together, having been introduced by Reinder, the creator of that comic (and kind provider of the code and hosting of this blog). I greatly admired Jeroen's work on Cap'n and Belle, and... I'm not actually sure why Jeroen agreed to work with me. Ah, well. In any case, the first run, which went straight into syndication on Graphic Smash, never gained much popularity, possibly because of the subscription wall on that site, and eventually ended sometime in 2006, due to severe illness on my part. By the time I was able to do anything about it, it had disappeared from the internet, and languished there for some time.

However, we've finally got things back together, thanks largely to the help of Joey Manley, who dug out some of the lost files from the old Graphic Smash archives, and hope that you'll enjoy this little tale of farmery superheroes, menacing morris dancers, evil tea, mad old seadogs, and sheep!

Simon Eyre

Ah, Simon Eyre. One of my favourite characters.

And, with him coming from an Elizabethan play of... probably far less popularity than I foolishly assumed on the first run of this comic (The Shoemaker's Holiday), I was able to pastiche Elizabethan text and bring him into D&F!

Enter Timmerryn Brand

And here we have the second of D.a.F:T.S.o.D.'s two artists, Timmerryn Brand of The Pantheon. She has, as far as I know, since moved out of comics.

Still, hope you like it. This Wednesday will mark the start of Chapter 3, and my favourite chapter opening.
