Guest comic by Mithandir and Alien

Mithandir and Alien are the creators of Chasing the Sunset. Mithandir has also written the content management software for the current Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan site for me.

René is the creator of The Grim Dot.com, a very funny comic about Death running a modern corporate outfit. Like Alien and Mithandir last Friday, he is making his debut as a ROCR guest artist. I wonder if he knew what he was signing up for? Muahahaha!

Ahem. This comic features Prof. Rásdondr, who has turned out to be quite a popular character. Sorry I haven't added him to the cast pages yet.

Jeroen and Adam are the original creative team of Dangerous and Fluffy: The Sheep of Doom, wich is currently between websites. Jeroen has left the team now, but has made many other wonderful things.

The two have made this comic with the intent of giving me a serious but friendly public ribbing, but they've got nothing on Damonk's accomplishments in this area.

Jeroen and Adam together have made one previous guest comic. Jeroen has made a previous guest comic with Geir Strøm.

Jamie is, of course, the creator of Clan of the Cats, one of my favorite comics, on which I advertising throughout December of 2004. Jamie has created two spinoffs of Clan of the Cats: Mythos and Magick on Graphic Smash, and the Keenspot Premium comic Melpomene.

Jamie and I go back a long, long way in Webcomic terms. Jamie made me a guest comic for my first guest comic fortnight, and one for my second. I returned the favor twice during Jamie's own guest events, and also drew him a Gothic Chelsea one day for no good reason at all. And now here's another guest drawing by him in which Jamie shows off his outstanding coloring ability.

Timmerryn's contribution is a drawing of the animal responsible for Professor Rásdondr's facial scars! It's a Sheepdoglioncabbage, a rare and not to be trusted hybrid.

Timmerryn is the creator of The Pantheon, and currently the artist of Dangerous and Fluffy, the Sheep of Doom.

Like with Jamie, Timmerryn and I go back a long way. Timm made a guest comic for my second guest comic fortnight, and another one in four parts for my third. We also collaborated on Even in Arcadia, a crossover between ROCR and The Pantheon. EIA was a sequel to the Keenquest project, but can very nearly be understood on its own. Just imagine a Person from Porlock came in and ate the beginning, or something.

Finally, Timmerryn recently did a third guest comic in 2004. That one was published, but fell smack dab in the middle of a storyline, and wasn't included in any guest event. That part of the archive has since cleared out so this is where that comic gets its permanent home:

Yonaka drew this realistic interpretation of P'séagg a while ago, but it hasn't been published before.

Yonaka is also a regular performer on the ROCR circuit. She first did a guest comic during the second guest week, and contributed a guest artwork for the third. She's good. In fact, she's good at a lot of things, as a glance at the works on display at Yonaka's Place shows.

Some new guest work to finish off this long month-and-a-half. Kicking off are old hands Daniel Østvold and Geir Strøm. This is their fourth contribution; see their first, their second, and their third. The third one is listed as a Daniel solo contribution, but Daniel used Geir's dialogue from the second one. This time, the two are using Marvel-style scripting. Daniel set up the action and drew it, then gave it to Geir for him to write dialogue for it.

The comic is also a first in that it uses only characters that were originally created by the guest contributors, and doesn't refer to Clwyd-Rhan at all, making it more of a Chronicles of the Witch Queen comic than a ROCR one.

Geir has worked with me on many long and short projects including
White House in Orbit and
The Eye of the Underworld. He is also co-creator of the Chronicles of the Witch Queen series with Daniel, and has several other projects in the pipeline.

Daniel is a Norwegian painter and sculptor, songwriter and musician. Of all his artistic activities, his cartooning has been the least known to the public, and this is a shame because he is so good. His contributions to Chronicles of the Witch Queen include The Double, Christmas at Blocksberg and Alcydia.

Today's guest comic is by my studio-mate, Jelena Stellaard. It's the first in a three-part miniseries. Jelena's been a great friend and colleague these past six or so months. She's got a good weekly comic over on the Saiso website.
