Who's bloody war is it anyway?

Girl!
I wanna take you to a gay bar,
I wanna take you to a gay bar,
I wanna take you to a gay bar, gay bar, gay bar.

Let's start a war, start a nuclear war,
At the gay bar, gay bar, gay bar.
Wow!
At the gay bar.

Now tell me do ya, a do ya have any money?
I wanna spend all your money,
at the gay bar, gay bar, gay bar.

I've got something to put in you,
I've got something to put in you,
I've got something to put in you,
At the gay bar, gay bar, gay bar.
Wow!

You're a superstar, at the gay bar.
You're a superstar, at the gay bar.
Yeah! you're a superstar, at the gay bar.
You're a superstar, at the gay bar.
Superstar.
Super, super, superstar

Right! You're MTV. Did you just hear anything you want to censor? But ofcourse:

Let's start a war, start a nuclear war...(the word war made inaudible)

*sigh* I have no words for this... How stupid does it get?

(Lyrics: "Gay bar" - Electric Six)

Reminds me of the Gulf War of the 90s (I was going to write "first" Gulf War but I remember the eighties when there was actually a war on between two Persian Gulf nations) when Massive Attack had to change their name temporarily to Massive to get airplay.

By the way, you got post no. 300!

...somehow this seems worse, making actual changes in a song. I wonder if the band is aware of this. It's bad enough we're not allowed to hear words like Fuck and Shit and whatnot, but at this rate MTV will end up a constant bleep with a back beat.

weee! 300 :)
I wish it would've been a happier post though

Yeah, and if I wanted to hear a constant bleep with a back beat I'd go to an electroclash party.

Have you seen the Flash videos based on that song? It's inspired some great, oddball creativity.
