Interesting: visitor numbers for Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan dipped deeply over the weekend. Really deeply. Slashed in half, or thereabouts. I originally attributed the dip to the Pentecost/Whitsun holiday, but it's too deep for that.
As far as I know, Pentecost isn't celebrated as an official holiday in most countries, and (again as far as I know) it's only in the Netherlands that this year's Pentecost followed hot on the heels of other national holidays making the past week a choice occasion for people to go on short vacations. The Netherlands accounts for only 5 percent of my visitors, long-term, and many of those visits are from me (when I change the templates for my websites, I may reload the sites dozens of times in the process of checking if everything works) or my friends who don't go on vacations either.
All of Europe accounts for 22,3 % of my visitors so even if every single European reader had gone camping in the wilderness this weekend, it still wouldn't fully explain the readership dip. Is my information wrong? Do Americans (59%) take the Pentecost weekend off as well? Or are people abandoning my website in droves? Help!
Update: D'Oh! My paid ads at Online Comics expired this weekend. I'll bet that that has something to do with it.
